Tilt and Turn windows open inwards, which is very distinct from traditional casement windows, and have found favour with many architects and clients who have projects for which an open out window is not suitable.
The tilt and turn window is popular where an inward opening application is required, for instance where outside window shutters prevent a window from opening outwards. It operates simply into ‘ventilation mode’, where the top of the sash tilts inwards. On closing the sash and further rotating the handle the hinge mechanism is engaged which makes the sash swing inwards for an easier and safer clean to the outside windowpane.

Bows and Bay windows not only add distinction and character to a house – they add space too. The ‘arc’ of the Bow window offers a larger internal window ledge area and the Bay actually extends the footprint of the room it fronts.
Either way – the additional space and light, combined with the high visual impact make both styles of window an extremely popular choice.
